Institute for Sports Medicine

This year's UConn Institute for Sports Medicine annual symposium will be a collaborative sports medicine symposium centered on managing the overhead athlete using evidence-based medicine and cutting-edge technology. Following a keynote lecture discussing the general management of the overhead athlete, this all-day course will be broken out into in 3 lecture-based sessions. These sessions will be followed up by an interactive, expert panel and audience discussion. Following the didactic sessions, we will provide hands-on, live demonstration and breakout sessions focusing on utilizing markerless motion capture technology to assess biomechanics in the overhead athlete, and emerging and gold standard return to sport testing implementation assessment techniques.
